Stanley Falls Flume at Busch Gardens to permanently close

TAMPA, Fla. — Officials with Busch Gardens Tampa Bay announced Thursday that its water ride, Stanley Falls Flume, will be permanently closing.

Guests can ride the log flume for the final time on Sunday, Sept. 7.

Stanley Falls Flume was one of Busch Gardens’ original rides from its grand opening in 1973. Officials described it as a “classic” that has been “ a fan favorite for generations .”

Officials said in a post on the amusement park’s Facebook page that the ride’s closure will “make way for an exciting new future attraction.”
