Montreal’s blue-collar workers were called to a special general assembly on Saturday morning to vote on a strike mandate that could go as far as an unlimited general strike.
Members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), which is affiliated with the FTQ, were invited to attend the meeting at the Palais des congrès de Montréal starting at 9:30 a.m.
