Scattered thunderstorms began developing in the Willamette Valley yesterday and are expected to continue today in northwest Oregon and southwest Washington.

There is a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the Portland area Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy with a high around 76 degrees.

Saturday night, the chance of showers and thunderstorms increases to 50%.

There is a slight chance of showers Sunday, and the high will be about 77.

The workweek is likely to start off with more showers Monday and Tuesday. The highs will be in the low 70s and upper 60s.
