ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WPRI) -- A man was seriously injured after investigators say he fell 20 feet through a skylight at an auto repair shop in Attleboro Saturday morning.

According to Attleboro Fire Chief Scott LaChance On Saturday, Sept. 6, at just after 11 a.m, firefighters were called to an auto shop on Pleasant St., for a report of a fall.

When they arrived on scene, firefighters found a man in his 40's inside the building after he fell about 20 feet through a skylight into the maintenance bay while cleaning gutters.

The victim suffered serious head and arm injuries.

He was treated at the scene and taken to Rhode Island Hospital

The Attleboro Police Department is investigating the incident and has notified the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
