A seaplane crashed about 9 a.m. Saturday on Moosehead Lake near Beaver Cove, according to Debra Hamlin, director of Piscataquis County Emergency Management.
A boater on the lake pulled the pilot from the water, Hamlin said.
The pilot, who was the only person onboard, was taken to a hospital with facial trauma and other minor injuries. The seaplane, a Grumman Widgeon, is reportedly submerged in 90 feet of water.
The Maine Wardens Service and the Greenville Fire Department both responded to the scene.
This weekend is the 51st annual Greenville International Seaplane Fly-In, which draws thousands of spectators.
