CNN’s Abby Phillip laid out some surprising policy overlaps between President Donald Trump and New York City Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani , a Democratic socialist.

On CNN’s Table for Five on Saturday, Phillip and her panel discussed Mamdani and his challenge to debate Trump. Mamdani asked for the debate following reports that Trump would offer an administration position to New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) in order to clear the way for Andrew Cuomo to take on Mamdani.
