VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - One person has died and two others remain hospitalized following an early morning shooting at an Italian restaurant, Visalia Police said.

Just before 2 a.m. Saturday officers were called to the area of Main and Garden Streets for a report of a shooting at Sebby's restaurant.

Officers say they arrived to find several people who had been shot following a fight that had broken out inside the establishment.

Three people were transported to an area hospital for treatment, and one of whom has died from their injuries.

The Visalia Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit has responded and taken over what has become a homicide investigation.

The scene remains active, and both Main Street and Garden Street are still closed as detectives continue to investigate. The
