A pair of Glasgow siblings who launched city's first standalone bubble tea bar have been inspired by their father's battle with diabetes to launch a new product.

May Gem Tan and Liam Tan, who brought Scotland its first standalone bubble tea bar, Tempo Tea Bar, in 2013, have unveiled Tempo CommuniTea, a new range of low-sugar, vitamin-boosted bubble teas designed to support healthier lifestyles, while funding grassroots community projects through their newly formed social enterprise, Tempo Community CIC.

Their inspiration? A deeply personal journey. Following their father’s diagnosis with Type 2 Diabetes, May Gem and Liam began rethinking how they could use their platform to do more than just serve great drinks. They wanted to serve up impact.
