On Friday, U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) called out his colleague from Georgia, U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.), for using veterans as a "political prop."
Earlier this week, Ossoff hosted veterans in Georgia to celebrate President Donald Trump's signing of the bipartisan VA Home Loan Reform Act, which passed with unanimous consent. The law establishes a permanent "partial claim" program to prevent VA loan foreclosures and assist veterans who fall behind on their mortgage payments.
Ossoff's office posted a news clip from the celebration on X in which the office claims the legislation was "championed" by the Georgia Democrat.
Tuberville responded to the post from Ossoff's office by pointing out he had "NOTHING to do with this bill."
