A&M quarterback Marcel Reed threw three touchdown passes and ran for another to pace the Aggies.

Utah State QB Bryson Barnes threw for two touchdowns himself, but was sacked six times by the aggressive Texas A&M defense.

Texas A&M opened the scoring in the first quarter on a 34-yard hookup from Reed to Terry Bussey. A missed two-point attempt made the score 7-6.
