Duquesne rolled to a win in its home opener, defeating Lincoln 55-14. The Dukes commanded all aspects of the game, stifling the Lions on defense and consistently driving on offense. Senior quarterback Tyler Riddell matched a career-high five touchdown passes, while the defense only allowed 1 yard per rush to the Lions.
The first half was all Duquesne, posting a 41-7 score before the break. Riddell threw for 239 yards and five touchdowns in his only half of play, with two passes going 50 yards or more. Joey Isabella continued to wow crowds with 46 yards and two touchdown grabs, while fellow receiver B.J. Alexander caught another score and racked up 57 yards. Isabella also had a 65-yard punt return touchdown that was called back due to an illegal block in the back.
