The moral and legal atrocities committed by the Trump administration apparently continue with no end or bottom in sight.

Here are a few recent examples:

• The violent Jan. 6, 2021, insurrectionists pardoned by President Donald Trump are suing the federal government because they were convicted of crimes by impartial juries and sentenced for punishment for those crimes.

So now taxpayers are expected to compensate these thugs for their assault on our democracy, brutalizing Capitol police, threatening elected officials and destroying public property.

• The family of the woman killed that day just before she attempted to attack members of Congress was awarded $5 million, paid by taxpayers, to settle a lawsuit.
