BAKER, La. (WAFB) - A man is facing charges after investigators say he tried to set a Baker home on fire while people were inside.

According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, Wilfred Jackson Jr., 32, was arrested on Sunday, Sept. 6, and charged with attempted aggravated arson.

Investigators say Jackson poured gasoline inside a home on Cypress Street while occupants were still inside and threatened to ignite the residence.

Jackson reportedly inhaled gasoline fumes and was treated at the scene by East Baton Rouge EMS. No other injuries were reported.

The Baton Rouge Fire Department says Jackson was taken into custody and booked on the charge.
