Last week, LSU's defense shut down Clemson, giving coach Brian Kelly the first season-opening victory of his tenure in Baton Rouge.

Now the No. 3 Tigers (1-0) are off to the races. It looks like they may finally have a team that can make a run to a Southeastern Conference title, a College Football Playoff appearance or maybe even the national championship game.

LSU's more present concern, however, is a Week 2 home matchup with Louisiana Tech — the first game of the 101st season of football in Tiger Stadium. The Bulldogs are one of three nonconference opponents set to visit Baton Rouge this year (Southeastern Louisiana and Western Kentucky), and they're eager to build on their own season-opening win: a shutout victory over Southeastern.
