SAN ANTONIO — It was a last-chance adoption, and now we have good news.

Sally was adopted from ACS and will live out her days in a forever home.

After her owner was shot and killed by San Antonio police last Friday, 4-year-old Sally needed to be fostered or adopted out right away. She had been in the care of Animal Care Services.

Sally witnessed her owner being killed by police at the Hays Street Bridge near Cherry Street but had not lost her good heart. Sally’s been through a lot, but remains kind, even to strangers.

“The fact that she has so much love left to give, a lot of dogs are abused, and they’re very difficult to take care of," Sally's neighbor, Julia Domaradzka, had said.
