A music teacher at the Episcopal School of Baton Rouge has been put on leave by the administration after a Tennessee grand jury issued an indictment against him on charges of statutory rape.
Jordan Tupper, 42, was indicted on eight counts of statutory rape by an authority figure on Tuesday in Cheatham County, Tennessee, according to WKRN in Nashville .
Detectives with the Cheatham County Sheriff's Office presented evidence to the grand jury of an "unlawful sexual relationship involving multiple sexual encounters between Mr. Jordan Tupper and the alleged victim," according to WKRN.
Tupper turned himself into the Cheatham County Jail on Wednesday, the station reported.
The alleged crimes took place between 2010 and 2012 and involved a sophomore at Sycamore High School in Pleasant View,
