PFAFFTOWN — Standing out on Reagan's emptying football field, John Evans Jr. flashed his red braces when a youthful beaming smile overtook his features.

The joy was warranted after the night the sophomore running back had: three touchdowns and single-handedly facilitating the running game in the Raiders' 35-0 blowout win over Reidsville.

"It was a statement game," Evans said. "Everybody kept saying they were doubting us because it was Reidsville, and there was a lot of hype about the game. We just wanted to come out here and make a statement."

Quite a statement.
