Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse University announced a crowd of 39,391 fans for its 2025 home opener against Connecticut at the JMA Dome on Saturday.
The fans in attendance (even though some streamed for the exits when the Orange were losinh) saw the Orange come back from an 11-point deficit to defeat UConn 27-20 in overtime.
The announced crowd for Saturday’s game was right around the average of 39,132 fans for SU’s seven home games last season.
The JMA Wireless Dome lists capacity for football games at 42,774.
Syracuse will be back at home on Friday night to face Colgate.
SU also has home games remaining this season against Duke (Sept. 27), Pittsburgh (Oct. 18), North Carolina (Oct. 31) and Boston College (Nov. 29).
