The first Mary Hamilton print that Vic and Andrea Colaiaco bought was a bargain. It was about 50 years ago, the Mt. Lebanon couple recalled. They helped the artist move some of her stuff at the end of an arts festival and she cut them a deal.

Ms. Hamilton, who makes whimsical linocut prints and has created more than two dozen official posters for the annual A Fair in the Park craft festival, was displaying some of those designs Saturday for a silent auction at this year’s event.

The Colaiacos were hoping to see the artist who supplied story scenes for so much of their lives – prints they bought for themselves, then their kids and grandkids.

One of their earliest acquisitions was called “porch swing.”

“It looked like two old people,” Ms. Colaiaco said. “Now it looks like us.”
