HOLLAND, Mich. — Multiple people were hospitalized after a chemical spill at LG Energy Solutions in Holland on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Holland Fire Department (HFD), around 3:25 p.m., crews were dispatched to a "hazardous materials incident" at LG Energy Solutions.

When crews arrived, they confirmed there was a chemical spill inside the facility.

Emergency responders used hazardous materials protocols, secured the scene and worked to ensure the safety of employees and the surrounding area.

HFD said 15 people were taken to local hospitals for evaluation and treatment related to the chemical spill. No life-threatening injuries have been reported.
