How do you tell a story when words themselves fail to convey the horror of what truly happened? How do you portray a catastrophe so enormous that it just seems far too big for human comprehension? How do you paint a picture when images, numbers, and facts themselves betray us? These questions are always on people's minds when movies and TV shows dare to tell tales of tragic events that not only took lives, but changed history for the worse .
However, when writer Craig Mazin and director Johan Renck set off to tell the story of arguably the biggest nuclear disaster to ever take place on Earth, they managed to find a sweet spot that allowed for such a horrific tale to be accurately depicted on screen. HBO's 2019 miniseries, simply titled Chernobyl , isn't necessarily the m
