Seven people have been hospitalized and at least six were infected in a Salmonella outbreak

Those hospitalized have been infected as a a result of the bacteria's presence in home delivery meals from Metabolic Meals

"Metabolic Meals is collaborating with investigators and has reached out to customers directly who purchased the meal types listed above to inform them of the outbreak," the CDC said in a statement

Sixteen people have been infected in total as a result of the bacteria's presence in home delivery meals from Metabolic Meals, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reported on Friday, Sept. 5. The meals were made by and delivered by the Metabolic Meals company during the week of July 28
