HICKORY, N.C. — Jonathan David Reep, 53, the Hickory-born actor and comedian known for Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay and ABC’s Rodney , was arrested and faces multiple child sexual exploitation charges, according to the Hickory Police Department.

The investigation began April 15 , after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent a cyber tip to Hickory police about suspected child sexual abuse material. Officers traced the online activity to Reep’s account and followed the IP address to his home. A search warrant was executed, and electronic devices were seized for analysis, police said.
