SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The Siouxland Humane Society held its 23rd annual “Pets on Parade” fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 6, at Riverside Park in Sioux City.

This event, which is the shelter’s second biggest fundraiser of the year, saw community members coming out with their pets to raise money an help the shelter find homes for pets.

The Siouxland Humane Society had on-site pet adoption, which Maddy Nettleton, the Director of Development, said has proven successful in the past.

“We have been lucky the last couple of years,” said Nettelton, “and I think almost all of the pets have gotten adopted the last two years that we bring here. I think it was only one last year, but ended up going home with a staff member, so I’m counting it.”
