The Cam Heyward drama appears to be over — and just in time.

On the evening before the Steelers’ season opener, the team gave their longtime captain the contract sweetener he was looking for in 2025, with the team adding over $3 million in incentives to his deal, according to multiple national reports.

The incentives are tied to making and winning in the playoffs, according to the reports. Heyward can now make close to $18 million total this season.

Heyward, 36, had voiced his displeasure with his contract this summer and was “holding in” at multiple practices during training camp.
