SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Moorhead started their season with two out of state games.

In week one they pulled out a 44-37 victory against Northern Michigan University.

On Saturday the team had less of a trip as they faced Southwest Minnesota State University.

Another high scoring game from the team’s offense.

Starting quarterback Jack Strand didn’t play the full game but he didn’t take his time on the field for granted.

He threw for 319 yards and had five passing touchdowns.

Three Moorhead receivers had 2 touchdowns: Carter Birrenkott, Brady Perryman, and Gavin Lill.

Adam Kallenbach had a tackle for loss and an interception helping the Dragons hold SMSU to no touchdowns.

Moorhead won 51-3.
