CLEVELAND (WJW) – The man accused of a hit-and-run of two Cleveland water employees has pleaded guilty, according to court records.

In February, on the city’s southeast side, a hit-and-run driver left two Cleveland Water employees seriously hurt, as the FOX 8 I-Team previously reported.

A city security camera captured a key clue. The video showed an SUV matching the description of the vehicle involved, leaving that neighborhood.

Records show that investigators tracked the license plate to a home in Maple Heights. That led to a knock on the door in the middle of the night.

In the house, Cleveland police and Maple Heights police found Lorenzo Martin. They said they tied him to the hit-and-run.
