HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A driver was taken to the hospital Saturday morning after deputies said he was pulled over for running a red light. During that traffic stop, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said they saw the man had been shot.

The sheriff's office believed the shooting happened during a road rage incident around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, following an altercation between two vehicles.

"Subjects were involved in a minor fender bender. They pulled over in a parking lot at which time somebody displayed a firearm and shots were fired," HCSO Sgt. Wade said.

A box truck and a white car were at the center of the road rage investigation. The HCSO said it took place near Clay and Greenhouse Road.
