Sydney Sweeney is dishing on the training for her upcoming movie Christy .

The 27-year-old actress gained 30 pounds and bulked up for the role of portraying pro boxer Christy Martin .

Ahead of the movie’s premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival on Friday (September 5), Sydney opened up about loving the experience of training and getting into shape for the movie.

“It was probably one of the most amazing, fun experiences,” she told E! News . “I was a very happy person, and I became so strong. I felt so good. I mean, I just felt Christy ‘s power.”

“I loved it,” she added of the workouts. “It just felt fun and exciting. I don’t know if I was like, ‘Oh my god, it’s grueling,’ because it was just such a good time.”
