For almost six quarters, the bell cow of UTEP's transfer class, senior running back Hahsaun Wilson , was just about invisible.
He's now visible on the top of the UTEP record book after passing Aaron Jones for the program's longest touchdown run. His 94-yard dash with 4:58 left in the second quarter gave UTEP a 28-7 lead over Tennessee-Martin.
After a 2-yard run to the Miner 6 accounted for his first-ever carry as a UTEP player, Wilson's second went 94 yards to establish several program records. It eclipsed a 92-yard pass from Billy Stevens to Bob Wallace in 1965 as the longest play from scrimmage ever for UTEP, and it topped Jones' 91-yard run against Texas Tech in 2015 for the longest run.
Wilson, who was the leading rusher for Charlotte last season, now has two carries for 96 yards
