The TinCaps gave up six unanswered runs at West Michigan on Saturday night, losing 6-1 to the WhiteCaps in the penultimate game of the season.

The TinCaps (56-74, 25-40 second half), who won 6-1 on Friday, have now lost 10 of their last 11 games.

Fort Wayne left-hander Luis Gutierrez gave up four runs, all of them earned in five innings of work. He struck out seven batters and walked two.

The TinCaps scored their first and only run in the top of the second inning. Right fielder Jack Costello singled to left, Kai Roberts and Jonathan Vastine each drew walks and designated hitter Sean Barnett hit an infield single to bring Costello across the plate.
