Olivia Robinson and Brenna Buraszeski each scored a goal to lead Rutgers Prep, No. 1 in the NJ.com Top 20, to a 2-0 victory over Hunterdon Central in Flemington.
After a scoreless first half, Rutgers Prep broke through with two goals in the second half to secure the win. Robinson opened the scoring, finding the back of the net with an assist from Blair Vera.
Buraszeski added an insurance goal later in the half, assisted by Brooke Bredeson.
Rutgers Prep dominated the offensive action, outshooting Hunterdon Central 26-2. Hunterdon Central goalie Kailey McMinn made 17 saves in the loss, while Rutgers Prep goalie Jordan Reigrod only needed to make one save to earn the clean sheet.
With the win, Rutgers Prep (1-0) remains undefeated on the young season, while Hunterdon Central (0-2) is stil
