ALAMOSA, COLO. The UTPB football team had no trouble in putting away Adams State, as the Falcons cruised to a 41-7 win Saturday on the road.

Playing in a nonconference game, the No. 21 Falcons improved to 2-0 for the season while the Grizzlies fell to 0-2.

UTPB led 20-0 at the half.

UTPB quarterback Issac Mooring entered the game on the Falcons’ third drive of the night and ended up going 20-of-26 for 266 yards passing and three touchdowns to lead the Falcons.

UTPB’s Kory Harris had 11 rushes for 54 yards while TJ McKenzie had four receptions for 78 yards.

The Falcons will next have a bye week before beginning Lone Star Conference play on the road against Texas A&M-Kingsville Sept. 20.
