The hidden gem Bristol attractions you can visit for free this month
September sees an abundance of local attractions open for free to give a rare glimpse behind the scenes of some of the most famous, loved and historical venues up and down the country. As part of the Heritage Open Days , thousands of volunteers across England organise events to celebrate the country's history and culture.
It's often our only chances to see hidden places and try out new experiences – all of which are free to explore during a set time period. This year's Heritage Open Days fall between September 12-21, with a variety of guided tours, open doors, free entry and other perks to enjoy.
