GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Coming off a 55-0 shutout of Long Island in their season opener, Florida opened multi-score favorites over USF.

South Florida, though, entered Gainesville with momentum taking down No. 25 Boise State in week one.

The likelihood of Florida holding South Florida to 100 total yards like it did a week ago in The Swamp against LIU a week ago was small, but early on it took two third-down conversions for Florida’s defense to adjust against the Bulls.

The first drive for Florida showed glimpses of hope, but due to a dropped pass and a penalty things in the red zone stalled for the Gators. Jadan Baugh ran the ball like an All-SEC candidate, averaging 10.2 yards a carry on his first five touches.
