It’s definitely events season in Northeast Pennsylvania.

I don’t know about you, but my calendar is pretty full. I’m not complaining, though, because I love all of the special events that make our area unique.

Just two days ago, I attended the 21st Annual Gala & Auction: Around the World with the Osterhout at the Westmoreland Club.

It was a fabulous evening celebrating the Osterhout Free Library and raising money for the many books, programs and initiatives that the organization manages.

I particularly love that each year it’s elegant with a different twist.

Tickets were raffled for a chance to win a trip for two to San Francisco, and I think that’s so telling of the library’s story. The raffle gives two people the chance to see another part of the world, while the library is offering
