Northern’s MJ Simpson recorded a hat trick Saturday as the Polar Bears field hockey team defeated Hempfield, 7-2, in a non-conference game.

Keairah Dykes added two goals for Northern. Maria Pucino had a goal and an assist. Ava Hondorf pitched in with a goal.
