Kylie Tchorz recorded the game-winning goal in overtime for North Hunterdon in its 2-1 win over Phillipsburg in Phillipsburg.

In the extra period, Tchorz netted the golden goal winner in the 83rd minute, assisted by Riley Pipher, to secure the 2-1 win for North Hunterdon (1-1).

After a scoreless first half, Taeya Kohler opened the scoring in the 55th minute off an assist from Katelyn Kusmiesz to put the Lions up 1-0.

Phillipsburg (0-2) equalized in the 71st minute when Aniya Gerdes found the back of the net, sending the game to overtime tied 1-1.

Lions goalkeeper Abby Bissiotis made two saves to earn the victory in net. On the other side, Phillipsburg’s Julia Stettner stopped 10 shots in a losing effort.
