BROKEN SYSTEM

A police officer comes face to face with an armed gunman. Now what? Officer shoots armed perp. Cops says, “I feared for my life. I shot him.” No arrest made. Officer is investigated by SIU. SIU says it is a good shoot. End of story. Now there is a home invasion. Homeowner Joe fears for his life and takes action and beats up the invaders. Now he is charged, placed under arrest, and goes to jail until bail hearing. Months later he is found guilty and spends years in jail. Meanwhile, the invader walks free. And this is the law. Tell me what’s wrong with this scenario? Like Doug Ford said, something is broken.
