YAKIMA, Wash. – Triumph Treatment Services and Yakima Recovery Events marked National Recovery Month with their second annual Steps to Recovery Walk, inviting the public to Miller Park for a walk through downtown Yakima.

The free event aimed to celebrate those in recovery and foster community support. Following the walk, Triumph and Yakima Recovery Events hosted speakers who shared their personal recovery journeys.

Jaime Barajas, chairperson for Yakima Recovery Events, emphasized the importance of community support.

"We've been working really hard collaboratively to put this event on. And it's just that it's an important day to let people in the community know, like, hey, we do recover and just showing unity for those people in recovery and the still suffering addicts," Barajas said
