Dan Haygarth, a reporter for our sister site Liverpool Echo, was one of many who got fully into the Oasis reunion. He was just 12 when the Gallagher brothers went their separate ways and he didn't get the chance to see them live the first time around.

So when tickets went on sale last summer, he and his friends joined the mad scramble.

Willing to go anywhere in the United Kingdom or to Dublin, they joined the never-ending Ticketmaster queue . But like many, were left empty-handed and crestfallen.

But when they announced further dates, this time half the world away in North America , they cooked up a masterplan. Surely it would be easier to get tickets than it had been for the UK and Ireland?
