Carlton are yet to present Mitch McGovern with a contract offer for next year, more than three weeks after coach Michael Voss said they “absolutely” wanted him to remain at the club.

McGovern barely missed a games trigger in his expiring two-year deal, which would have automatically rolled him over for the 2026 season, including missing selection in the late rounds after recovering from a hamstring injury.
