A children’s care home venture proposed for a property in Coatham , Redcar , has been granted planning permission by councillors. Plans were lodged earlier this year for a detached property in High Street West , which was once the site of a former parish hall and scout troop building.
The venture will care for a maximum four children with emotional behaviour disorders aged 11 to 17 and be staffed 24 hours a day. More than two dozen submissions were received by the local planning authority from neighbours and people living in the vicinity against the plans.
