Penn State moved to 2-0 on the season with a 34-0 win over FIU, but concerns still linger about the offense. The defense, however has been dominant shutting out the Panthers behind an interception by defensive tackle Alonso Ford Jr. and a strip sack, recovery and return by freshman dynamo defensive end Chaz Coleman.
The offense was not as impressive managing only 20 points in three quarters before blowing it open in the fourth. Running back Kaytron Allen led the way with 144 yards and a 67-yard touchdown.
Quarterback Drew Allar finished 19-33 for 200 yards and two touchdown passes.
