The wildfire smoke cleared in time for the grand opening of the newly refurbished Richmond Highlands Park 16554 Fremont Ave N, Shoreline WA 98133 , next to the Recreation / Teen Center.

The work is being done as part of the 2022 Parks Bond which includes improvements to Brugger's Bog, Hamlin, Hillwood, Richmond Highlands, James Keough Park, and Ridgecrest and capital improvements to Shoreview and Kruckeberg.

The park was full of little kids on the play equipment, bigger kids on the ball court, and adults and city staff.

Other play structures included an enclosed merry-go-round, a ping pong table, and a climb & slide.

The ground was green (astro-turf?) and planting beds were full of fall colored plants.
