The NYPD is investigating a shooting involving officers early Sunday morning in Brooklyn, according to authorities.

In a post on X shortly after 6:30 a.m., the NYPD warned people to avoid Park Place and Saratoga Avenue in the 73rd Precinct. A spokesperson confirmed to Gothamist that police were involved in the incident but did not share any other details.

It was not immediately clear who fired a weapon, whether anyone was injured or how the shooting unfolded.

Police activity has resulted in road closures and traffic delays in the area, officials stated. Emergency vehicles remain on scene and the NYPD said the investigation is ongoing.
