MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — A federal grand has jury indicted two naturalized U.S. citizens, Benedict Nwana Kuah and Pascal Kikishy Wongbi, on charges related to organizing violent acts in Cameroon.

The indictment accuses them of conspiracy to kill, kidnap, and injure people abroad, alongside other charges. Kuah and Wongbi are alleged leaders of the Ambazonia Defense Forces, an armed group aiming to establish a new country in Cameroon. They reportedly directed attacks to coerce the Cameroonian government into recognizing their legitimacy.
