I want my COVID shot

Thanks to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (and to those who approved his nomination as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services), many will die of COVID-19 as well as other preventable diseases. I am not a fan of hypodermic needles but I am more afraid of dying from COVID.

I went Friday to Harris Teeter pharmacy, where they have the new vaccines. However, I could not receive it (even though I am 70) without a doctor’s prescription. I now await that authorization.

According to the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy, pharmacists across the state are currently not authorized to administer the COVID-19 vaccine without a valid prescription. This restriction will remain in place until further guidance is issued by the Advisory Committee on Practices (ACIP). It
