NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- With less than two months to go in the race for New York City mayor, four candidates remain in contention, but there are reports that President Donald Trump may try to convince Mayor Eric Adams and Republican Curtis Sliwa to drop out.
That would make it a one-on-one race between former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Zohran Mamdani, a scenario that could make the Democratic nominee's road to victory a little tougher.
On this edition of Up Close, we talk to one mayoral candidate who just dropped out of the race: Jim Walden.
We talk to Walden about why he left the race and why he's urging some of the other candidates to do the same.
Up Close airs Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. on Channel 7, WABC-TV in New York City.
