ST. LOUIS — A woman believed to be in her 40s died early Sunday morning after a shooting in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood.

St. Louis Police responded to a shooting in the 4400 block of Minnesota Avenue around 1:30 a.m., where they found a woman who had been shot. Despite efforts to save her, she died at the scene.

Homicide detectives are investigating. Police have not released any other information about the incident.
